A Special Purpose

by Raquel
(San Jose, Ca US)

Moving Forward

Moving Forward

Well, my son's special purpose began a little over 3 years ago when I was a few months pregnant. The doctors broke the news to me that no mother is ever prepared to hear.

She sat my husband and I in her office.........She told us my unborn son had a very low chance of survival. If he did survive, his ribs hadn't formed correctly so he would have problems breathing on his own. We were also told that he had six fingers on one hand, had a form of dwarfism, a severely fractured leg, and his ribs were fractured in several places. She instructed us to see a specialist.

I was crushed, but knew that God would see us through. Through Prayer and the support of our Pastors and home church, we pushed through and became stronger along the way.

The doctors tried to give us the option of aborting the pregnancy.........wow, how could they mention such a thing? Life is a gift from God and God doesn't make mistakes.

My son was born with 5 fingers on each hand, fully formed ribs, and a healed leg. This was nothing short of a miracle. Along these 3 years, we have faced many trials. He has had several broken legs and several broken arms and still remains strong through it all. He has also undergone 2 major surgeries to rod his legs to prevent future breaks.

I feel an extra special desire to share my story because he just went through another surgery, and with the strength God continues to provide, we are persevering.

He has this smile that I can't help but find strength in. Please remember that with God all things are possible. I know My son is healed in Jesus name and I pray that this encourages you to remain strong in any circumstance that may come your way.

We all face many trials along the way, but the only way out is through and we will all become stronger people through these times. God has done so much in my life and I will continue to rejoice through all circumstances.

I'm Blessed beyond measure and so is my son. Through his life many people are touched, and through his life many people are encouraged.

I pray today that through his life you are reminded that God is with us no matter what we face and He is there to see us through.

We all have a greater purpose and the journey is what reminds us of that purpose. We are here to share Gods word and His love and mercy with everyone we meet.

May God Bless you always.
