Abortion effects are more widespread than any of us could ever imagine. Here's my story.
Born in 1960 to an unwed mother, I was adopted when I was four months old by family members. I grew up with the sense of not belonging, in a semi-loving home and when my father passed away when I was 15, I fell into a depression that I could not climb out of.
That is what led me to express myself in written words. I started writing at the age of 15. Expressing my thoughts on to paper became a great release for me. Unfortunately, my life did not get any easier. My mother and I moved to another state and I fell into the wrong crowd. Because my mother was an alcoholic, I turned to friends twice my age who got me involved in drugs and I turned away from my Christian values.
My life was full of tragic mistakes, including drugs and unplanned pregnancies. One of those pregnancies ended in an abortion.
Taking this horrific tragic event and finding something positive from it has been a challenge for me and has led me to write about my experience in order to help other women whohave gone through the similar experiences.
I am happily married now with four grown children, one grandson and currently reside in Birmingham, AL.
As I share my thoughts with you each month, just know that I understand and can surely empathize with your situation. The effects of abortion are long reaching and I want to provide comfort and support through my words.
