Build a Business with Integrity ... The ONLY Way to Do Business
How do you build a business with integrity? How do you sort through all the choices you face and come up with the ones that show you have integrity? It isn't easy for anyone, and in the business world.......well, let's just say there seems to be ALOT more wrong options than right ones. It's just too easy to focus on the thing that sidetracks most business people. Money. You have bills to pay. You have obligations and responsibilities, and whether to build a business with integrity doesn't even register. Right? You want what most people want....happiness, a home, etc. You want to use your talent to earn a living. So why is there gnawing in the pit of your stomach?
What do you say when your kids ask about your business dealings? What do they see when they're looking for an example of right behavior in business? Are you sure your behavior doesn't appear exactly like this brick wall? There is nothing worse than knowing what you're doing is wrong, and feeling helpless to change things because of worldly pressure. Does God Tell You How to Build a Business with Integrity?
Back in the days of David.....you remember him.....the kid with the sling and a couple stones? He wrote most of the book of Psalms. David is an excellent example of integrity. When David faced choices, problems, and pretty much everything else in life, he turned to see what God said about it. David knew if He did what God said to do, that he would be blessed. Isn't that what we all want? To be blessed in business?
Here's a sample of how David prayed: Psalm 26:1-7 Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity; I have (expectantly) trusted in, leaned on, and relied on the Lord without wavering and I shall not slide. Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; test my heart and my mind. For your loving-kindness is before my eyes, and I have walked in Your truth (faithfully). I do not sit with false persons, nor fellowship with pretenders; I hate the company of evildoers and will not sit with the wicked.
So....How Do You Start Making Changes? So now what do you do? You want to build a business with integrity. You want to be an example of right living to your kids and your employees.
First, there is no substitute for developing personal integrity in your own life. Integrity is doing the right thing, even when it's not convenient, not popular, and even though it would be so much easier to do the exact opposite. It's doing the right thing just because it's right, and doing it even when nobody else is looking. Knowing that God is looking has to be enough.Second, set your business compass based on God's word. There should be no difference in how you treat people in your personal life and your business life. God certainly doesn't distinguish between the two, so the rules are the same no matter what. Third, never compromise your standards. Never sink to a level that is almost right, or partly right. There is an old saying that the proof is in the pudding. If you say one thing and do another, your integrity will take a huge hit. Doing exactly what you say you will do is the only way to prove that your word is your bond. There is no way around it. The only way to move toward your goal to build a business with integrity is to change your focus and to make the commitment to do what's right, even when it sure doesn't feel that way.
Here are several companies you may want to consider as you personally build a business with integrity.
The first is called Disciple's Cross. If you're a person who loves to do crafts, this one is probably a GREAT fit for you.

The second company is a GREAT fit if you like to write and are a craft lover like I am. It's a wonderful chance to start a craft blog for profit. If you don't know a thing about blogs, don't worry. This is a full course that gives you the whole kit.
OR you might be a great cook and would rather start a blog for recipes.
