Finding Christian marriage help doesn't have to be difficult. There are lots of GREAT resources available. And after reading this book, I discovered this was one of those resources.

Creating an Intimate Marriage is a great book for couples who want to find simple, yet effective ways to keep things on track. Having read several books on marriage, I was wondering what Jim Burns could offer that was different.
I could completely relate to the beginning sections where the author describes the reasons marriages stumble in a world filled with stressed out, over scheduled, sleep deprived people. It doesn't take rocket science to come to the conclusion that these conditions will drain a marriage. Yet, people aren't willing to stop moving long enough to really look at those things and make the changes they need to help the marriage move forward.

One of the best statements from this author was the following:

"Nothing changes until the pain of remaining the same is greater than the pain of changing." I can't think of anything more true.

In an effort to give people the Christian marriage help they need, the author provides two sections of questions at the end of each chapter....."Questions for me" and "Questions for us". The depth and scope of those questions reach all the way down to the very heart and soul of the marriage. And if taken literally and seriously, a couple can find answers to some very big, ongoing, marital issues.

I would definitely recommend "Creating an Intimate Marriage" to any married couple interested in making your marriage stronger, more fulfilling, and maybe even a little more enjoyable.
