Help! My Christian Money is Disappearing!

Managing your Christian money is NOT easy these days. I know, your mailbox is overflowing with credit card offers and other "great deals". It's just way too easy to get caught up in all the noise. But it really doesn't matter how your Christian finances got into the situation they're in. All that matters is that if you're willing to take a hard look at where you are, you can figure out how to get to where you want to be.

Living according to Christian standards means you live within your means. I know. It's a foreign concept to many people. Living within your means you CUT UP THE CREDIT CARDS if you can't stop spending.

One of the gifts of the Spirit is self control. Yup, it's true. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, self control is inside you, waiting for you to use it. You CAN stop spending if you ask God to help you use that gift.

It may not be on your current radar screen, but you CAN get your finances under control. You can get to a place where you are living debt free. It all starts with a commitment to God and to yourself that you're going to live a whole different way.

Joyce Meyer, one of my favorite authors, is married to a guy that is extremely successful in managing money. Dave Meyers says the best way to manage your Christian money is to spend some, give some, and save some. It's always about balance.

I know it's not easy, but if you're willing, we'll help you!

We know how tough things are because we get so many prayer requests for help with Christian budgeting and finances.

But, the good news is that we've asked Bob Smith, a Certified Financial Planner and Christian financial adviser, to answer your questions on our site RIGHT NOW.

So go ahead and ask your most pressing financial question below.

You'll find a lot more answers in Bob's book, The Financial Facelift.

Karen's Comments:

Sometimes we make things a whole lot more complicated that they need to be. Bob has a way of cutting through all the distractions that always seem to take us off course. His way of explaining is so easy even I can understand it!

Ask your Biggest Financial Questions

Bob does his best to address your unique situation. Just remember that these issues are complicated and may require additional financial counseling.

Get answers for your financial questions  I am torn between the biblical quotation to give freely and out of faith. I do not know if financial principles can be applied to godly giving. I find ...
