A Christian Parenting Resource.....The WordFinding just the right Christian parenting resource that will give you all the answers...wow...wouldn't that be great? It could be a handbook you could use every time you had a question. Or, better still, you could pull the book out every time one of your kids does or says something that makes you so completely nuts, you feel like screaming.
I believe praying over your kids every day makes a huge difference in their lives. God is certainly our Father and parent so I know that when I pray for my kids, God can easily appreciate my concerns. There is a book called, Becoming The Parent God Wants You to Be by Dr. Kevin Lehman, that teaches you how to parent your kids the right way. It is a Christian parenting resource that will give you peace of mind and maybe even help you not worry so much! I also recommend The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word by Joyce Meyer. This is the book I use in my daily prayer time. Let me give you a sample of the available prayers from this book to "pray over" your kids: Deuteronomy 28:13: My children are the head and not the tail, and they shall be above only, and they shall not be beneath, because they heed the commandments of the Lord their God and are watchful to do them. Deuteronomy 30:19-20: My children choose life and blessing. They love the Lord, obey His voice, and cling to Him. For He is their life and the length of their days. There is tremendous power that comes from speaking the word over your kids. It's as if you're praying for all that's right, good and perfect for them. It's far better than worrying, being anxious and upset, and talking about all that's negative and wrong with them. Praying like this opens the door for God to work in the lives of your kids because you're simply agreeing with the promises in God's Word. And, of course, here is a "Print and Pray" prayer you can also use in your prayer time. Print and Pray Heavenly Father, Thank you for letting me come to You. You are an amazing God, worthy of anything and everything I have to give, especially my praise and worship. God, you can see how concerned I am for my kids, especially about their choices. I'm turning all this stuff over to you God. All I seem to do is worry and Your Word says that worry won't add one minute to my life. God I know You'll take care of my kids. I know You have an amazing plan for them and You'll help them find their way. Thank You for loving me, my spouse, and my kids enough to take care of all of us. I receive your peace into my heart.
