How does a person know what God's will is for their life?

If you'll check some of the other questions on this page, you'll find my more complete answer on this topic.

It gets asked a lot and I know it's not an easy concept to grasp.

There are two parts to finding God's will for your life. The first is getting really great at being a Christian. This is God's will for EVERYBODY.

Yes, it does matter if you're angry, bitter, impatient, jealous, etc. It REALLY does matter if you're self centered and treat others badly. Finding God's will means you're going to work with God to get better in these areas so you can engage in a real relationship with God.

As you do this, then and only then can you start actively hearing from God. It's through that relationship that God can start revealing His individual purpose for your life.

Well I believe God's will for your life is to follow his commandments, to obey and worship God and no matter what you do, He will bless you. If you want to open a business or work for Rite aid...the particular job isn't so much the issue. I believe that God doesn't have an exact job, so long as what you do you in in line with God's commandments. Pray about it, if you're not sure where to go, talk to God about it, tell him the pros and cons, what you like what you don't like and He will lead you to the right path in your life. You can't go wrong if you include God. You see God's will for us is joy, health, love, peace, healing. Start by building a relationship with God, that is what He desires more than anything!! Just sit down and start talking. I hope this helps. May God Bless you
