I would love to write and i have that desire. Just can't seem to get started. I get stuck. I would like to write devotionals or essays.
Any advice.

I would love to write
by: Toni

Yes, maybe I can help. Think about what matters to you most, areas that have impressed you in the past and then begin think about what you couldw write about such topics.

What works for me is making an outline first of what I want to say. Fill in the blanks for the following: Who, What, When, Where, Why and How. Take your topic matter that interests you the most and fill in these blanks.

But before writing, ask for God's help and guidance. Then listen to what He wants to tell you.

Then, write and keep writing! Once you have down what you want to say, go back and do some editing.

Be clear in what you want to say and always keep the reader in mind as you write. What is it you want to convey to the reader? What is it you want them to remember after reading your work?

Keep writing and never give up; for from your words you can, with God's help, change, uplift and encourage so many...

God Bless and best wishes...

Toni

wanting to write

Write for yourself and as a praise offering for the Lord. He will open the doors of opportunity as you set your focus on Him. Just remember, the Lord is creative. He has a plan for each of us, but our plans are not necessarily His plans.

Christian Writer
by: Karen

Becoming a Christian writer is the same as becoming any other kind of writer. The inspiration comes from anything and everything.

I didn't start writing until AFTER I had spent a lot of time reading and listening to Christian programs.

I knew I could talk to people easily, so I took the things that interested me and were a struggle in my own life and just started writing as though I was sitting across from a friend at the kitchen table.

That worked for me, but there are a ton of things that work for other Christian writers too. The most important thing is to write what you know about and what's in your heart.

Hope that helps get you started.

Blessings,

Karen

I don't know if my advice is good, but I would pray on it...Meditate on God and see what He brings to you.

God Bless and good luck...
