My life has been a traumatic roller coaster. I've suffered with bouts of depression and on going anxiety. Expressing myself in the written words of pain and joy has been a blessing and an outlet. My favorite passage from the bible is 1 Corinthians 13:4 which gives me much comfort. My first book of poetry, "Life Through the Rearview Mirror", was published in June 2008. Life Through the Rearview Mirror is a reflection of my life. The book is about the pain, the joy that we all go through in life and how we all tend to look back at what if's. You can find much more of my work at my website. Writing one of our Christian columns about abortion and it's effects isn't an easy task. But Debra does her best to show her compassion and wisdom in her words, helping you to ignite your faith. Here are her articles.
Several years ago when she reached a crossroad in her life, God saw fit to give Chris some very obvious guidance. First, He gave her the unexpected gift of a fourth child and second, He reminded her of His previous gift of a talent for writing. While being a stay-at- home mom, she reignited her passion for writing by taking children's writing course. Even though she discovered that writing for children is not where her passions lie, God used the course to lead her to writing for Him. Since then, with a few more life changing events, she learned to navigate life's rough waters with God doing the steering. Even though she is by no means an expert, she chooses to lovingly share her experiences with other women and maybe make their journey a little easier. In one of her life changes, she recently moved from her lifelong home in Pennsylvania to the state of Washington. Her husband of thirty years and her seven year old daughter have started a brand new adventure she wishes to share with you. As a way to ignite your faith, Chris will definitely be sharing some great advice on Christian marriage and parenting. Her column, God was at the wedding, where is He now? is filled with great stuff. Be sure to check it out.

Andrea Onah always had the desire to marry the man of her dreams one day. In her extremely organized mind, Andrea determined this event was to occur in her early thirties, not before, but certainly not after! But instead of the fairy tale wedding she dreamed of, Andrea got a broken heart and no marriage. It was during this period in her life Andrea decided to search for God, who she discovered had always been with her during her unhealthy relationships with the wrong men. Unbeknown to her, God had been taking her through a step by step journey. This included placing a burden in her heart to encourage and give confidence to women especially Christian single women. While recognizing there are several happily, fulfilled single women who are entirely comfortable with their status, Andrea recognizes the many who, year after year, become increasingly frustrated and even discouraged about their singleness. Through the years Andrea has listened to and interacted with many single women and empathizes with many issues these women face including loneliness, unforgiveness, 'forbidden' sex and socio-economic pressures from a media obsessed world. Today, Andrea is happily married to her wonderful husband who she believes is God’s greatest gift to her, well worth waiting for! In her column, Andrea helps ignite your faith as she shares her firsthand experience of singlehood candidly and with humor. Come and join her as she asks the question to and and all lonely Christian Single Women ... Are you Single'd out for the Blessing?
