Reading an inspirational story is food for your soul. "All Through the Night" by Davis Bunn is a story about how to overcome your past.
There are so many people who let their past define their future when God is able to take all that's happened and make it turn out for good. The trick is to ask God with an open heart.
Letting go of the past is probably one of the hardest things in life. It is way too easy to get caught up in all the wrong choices and the poor results that have happened as a result. It can seem like one wrong choice leads to another and then another.
But God has a whole other plan that's based on His ideas and His choices. When you get lined up with Him as the characters in this book did, amazing things can happen even when it doesn't look like the answer is coming.
I thoroughly enjoyed the intrigue and romance in this story. It was filled with twists and turns that made for a real page turner.
The book also centers on restoring relationships and building friendships, even when there is nothing on which to build except God's leading. This book is an excellent example of taking one step at a time, even though you can't see anything except a narrow lighted path. Sometimes that narrow path is all it takes to bring you back to where God is.
I heartily recommend this book to any and all Christian fiction fans. It's definitely worth a look.
