Learning how to hear God's voice?

Hey. God has shown me through certain experiences that he wants me to hear his voice and have an intimate relationship with him. I really want to hear his voice, but I'm really scared that Satan will attack me, or God won't talk to me. I mean, I have heard some words before, but how does that help? I want to have full on conversations with God, and I was wondering how to do that? Thanks for all your help.

Learning to hear from God is a learned skill. I have written about this on several pages on this site. Check out this page and this one features a wonderful book that explains the process beautifully.

Dear Ronnie,
Desiring a relationship with God is a great place to start! I believe nothing is impossible for God and He communicates in ways that are personal to each of us. Reading His word, praying and fellowship with other Christians are just a few ways I have experienced God speaking to me. The "fear" you feel does not come from God. I believe it is satan's attempt at preventing you from having the relationship you desire with God. Tell God about your fears and ask Him to help you face them. You can also look up scriptures on fear and find comfort. God will meet you where ever you're at! Best Wishes!
