praying is our natural speech with God
by: Katherine Harms

There is no special rule about prayer. If you speak to the Lord honestly about what is on your heart, he will hear you and bless you. Never fear to cry out in the words that burst forth naturally.
However, you can learn and grow in prayer by reading and studying prayers in the Bible. Jesus gave us The Lord's Prayer when his disciples asked him to teach them about prayer. See Matthew 6:9-13. Paul wrote some eloquent prayers in his letters to the churches. Read Ephesians 1:15-19 and Philippian 1:9-11 where he prayed for the spiritual growth of new Christians. You might want to pray those prayers for yourself and for other new Christians.
The most important thing is to pray. Like a friendship with another human being, your relationship with God will become richer as you get to know him. My prayer for you is that you will grow in faith and knowledge of the Lord Jesus, and as you grow, you will discover more and more blessings in prayer.

It's easier than you think...
by: Lynn Mosher

Isanka, Praying is like talking reverently to a friend or your father. It is a conversation, though we humans do most of the talking. However, it is important to remember to be still at times and listen for the Lord's voice. He likes to be in on the conversation. It is not supposed to be a monologue! Just tell Him what is in your heart, trust in Him and His Word, and never forget to praise Him, in all things. I hope, in this short space, that this is a help to you. I will pray for you. Be blessed...
