legally seperated chrstians

My husband and I have been married for 28 years He has always walked out. We have three grown kids. We were married very young. He had gotten on drugs and went to rehap. When he returned, we reunited, and then a year later he left again. Now he says God sent him to another town to start a new life and leave us behind. He has met a new woman and told me about her. I am now a christian, who once backslide, but is now back full force. God has gotten my attention. When we were together; while he was on drugs, I feel into a depression because of it. He has always tried to find a new woman to get rid of me.I had expectations, and he did not want to abide by them. My question is this," Is he living in adultry now that he has moved on with his life, since we are still not divorced?

a full plate
by: Karen

To say that your plate is full is a huge understatement. My goodness, you have been through a lot of pain and heartache.

Yes, unfortunately, your husband is committing adultery. But it sounds as though this is a symtom of the real problems in your marriage. A christian counselor would be able to help you sort out all the issues so you can come to some decisions about what to do next. The issues are complicated.

We just released a new feature on our site where you can get some free marital counseling. Rev Lee Baucom is a Christian counselor who wrote a wonderful book called, "Save Your Christian Marriage". It even comes with a guarantee.

Rev Lee has agreed to take questions directly from our visitors. You can find him Christian Marriage Advice.

Be blessed,

Karen

YES. the Bible is,unfortunately, very clear on this, even after divorce.I pray God is as forgiving as I hope,as I have been divorced, far from perfect,as your husband and yourself have not been.Unfortunately for all of us,we are what is called"human".Sinners in the flesh, weak, where God is always strong, yet the Bible is full of sinful people that God gave many blessings to.King David for a very good example,Saul who became Paul in the Book of Acts and The Letters.King Solomon, etc.
