There are always answers

Hi Jill,

So sorry to hear about your marriage issues. I hear about these kinds of problems more than any other. I think Satan knows if he can attack marriages, the fabric of our society will come completely apart.

Marriages are complicated. There's no way to get around it. And when you add kids in the mix, it makes it even tougher.

That's why it's so important to take the time to discuss and agree on the important issues BEFORE you get married. It is a huge mistake to think you can change someone after you say "I do."

I think the most important decision before you get married is to agree to have Christ at the center of your marriage. Without that agreement, it is just way too easy to let the cares of the world get in the way and mess things up.

Having that compass to guide you is what will help you stay focused during the hard times. Having that compass is what will always lead you back to where you need to be when you stray off course.

Jill, there is no way for me to tell you what your next step should be because there is no way to know about all the circumstances. I will give you the same recommendation I give to so many other Christian women in your situation. Find a great Christian marriage counselor that can help you sort out your options. They deal with these issues every day and are able to give you an objective viewpoint based on ALL the circumstances.

In the meantime, continue to pray for guidance about God's next step for you.

Blessings,

Karen
