Marriage Still in Trouble

by Renata
(Ontario)

Things are still not going well with me and my husband despite daily prayer and soul searching. I have begged and pleaded with him to give us a second chance but he tells me there is no love there.

I will be going to my first counseling session with a marriage therapist, but alone. Please pray that we can restore our marriage.

marriage trouble
by: renata

Please continue to pray for me and Steve that he will find some love in our relationship. We are failing fast and I need some prayers from God's faithful followers.

I love my husband and I want another chance to repair and restore our marriage.

He has been away for two days and I hoping he will have some light in his heart on his return. Please pray for us.

Little by Little
by: Karen

Hi Renata,

I can hear the pain in your requests. You are obviously very distraught and I certainly can see why.

As difficult as it is, perhaps you need to just step back and look at your situation objectively for a minute.

It took more than a day or a month for your marriage to get in its current shape and it's going to take more than a day or a month for it to be healthy.

Unfortunately we expect God to undo the situations in our lives in an instant and most of the time He doesn't work that way.

At this point you need to look for success in baby steps. Many times those baby steps can start happening when you take the time to ask God to show you how you can change and how you can make things better. If your husband sees your efforts he may be more willing to try too.

Renata, here is my prayer for you:

Father, You are an amazing and awesome God. There is nothing too hard for You. Lord, please intervene in the marriage between Renata and Steve.

Change the things in Renata that need changing. Surround her and Steve with positive, Christian role models who will show them what a healthy Christian marriage looks like. Send strong Christian men and women into their lives that can make a difference in this situation.

And mostly Lord, please embrace both of them and show them Your love. Help them release all the pain, anger, and bitterness so You have room to work on their situation.

Give Renata the faith to look for You as You help her through this difficult time. Show her that even though it's so very difficult, You're walking beside her. Give her the strength and patience to change the things that she can change to make things better in her marriage.

Father, we hold up this couple to You. We know You're working on their behalf as long as they fully submit themselves and their marriage to You.

Thank You for loving us and thank You for taking care of our needs. We ask all things in Jesus' holy name. AMEN!

Many Blessings,

Karen

My Wits End
by: Renata

I am at my wits end. I have been home for 4 days with my husband trying to make amends and I have accomplished nothing and my heart is now dead....I have asked for prayers for reconciliation and all I have got is name calling and belittled and I can't take it any longer, laughed in my face as I cry. I am finished, rock bottom and if the Lord really cared, he would intervene. I love my husband, any advise... I will listen. Thank you.

Heart Broken
by: Renata

Whatever God is trying to teach me will eventually throw me over the edge. My heart is so broken, I am totally ripped apart. My family life is falling apart and God doesn't seem to care. I want my husband back.

Oh dear, still in trouble... I'm so sorry to hear that. Maybe God is trying to reach you... and he is trying to tell you something.
I will pray for you that your marriage will restore itself, but it will take time.
Remember to sit very still and quietly, and listen to the voice of God. Be very patient, hold the hand of Jesus, and ask him to give you strength. I will pray very hard for peace in your marriage.

You will have many difficult days to come, but remember he is always there to listen. I will pray for you tonight.

Be Strong
by: Wendy

Please hang in there. God is there for you. I pray that Jesus will grant you happiness and peace and that your marriage will come out the other side.

God Bless

I will continue to pray for your needs and I hope your relationship will be healed and restored.

But, keep in mind that the answer you're seeking may not happen. And, there may be a very good reason for it, too.

I will hold good thoughts and keep praying that this situation turns out well for you...
