My 1st Mammogram......

by Zetta Thompson
(Trion, Georgia, USA)

my other reason for wanting to live as long as possible.

my other reason for wanting to live as long as possible.

Well, Nov. 24, 2008 I had my first mammogram at my work place. A mobile unit came out and around 50 other ladies had signed up, so this was wonderful. That day I went and had mine done on the 24th, it was really an experience.

I just assumed mine was fine, because I was just in and out of there in 15 minutes. The next day I received a letter from Breast Center stating that it was necessary that I schedule another appointment for further testing. Oh, I was so scared!

My husband, daughter, & son were terrified also. Well, I called and told them the situation and asked if she could tell me anything and of course, she couldn't.

My appointment was set for Dec. 11th and that was the earliest they could see me. Oh, I prayed and prayed, I was so nervous, scared and everything else that goes along with it. Well 2 or 3 days went by and I received another letter stating everything was fine, so I called them back and the receptionist said, "Mrs Thompson, I am looking at your results and they are not fine and she moved my schedule up to Dec. 9th. That was all it took for me.

That evening I prayed to God and turned it all over to Him. I told Him he was the real doctor and was the only one that takes this away. I put all myu faith and trust in you Lord and I will not worry any more. I was so relieved, he just took worry and all away.

Dec. 9th I showed up for my next mammogram, I got to see the 1st one then and there was a mass the size of a quarter in my right breast. I said, well I am fine now, but they did the mammogram anyway (8 to 10 pictures) and an ultrasound. Praise God.... nothing!!! I mean nothing was there.

The nurse said, "I don't understand, you can see it so clearly in this one but it is not there now." I told her what I had done and she said well, He (God) had taken it away. I am so thankful, I praised God the whole time I was there for 3 hours.

So, have faith in God, it really works. The faith of a mustard seed is all we need.

I love Jesus Christ, He is my Saviour and yes he does work miracles.

God Bless you all.
