My Miracle Prayer

by Zuri Lopez
(Albertville, Al, USA)

Hello my name is Zuri and I had a miracle prayer answered but now it's the whole opposite. I don't really understand why this would be given to me if only two months later it would be gone. I'm confused.

Trust is Not Easy
by: Karen

Hi Zuri,

Without knowing your circumstances it's hard to say exactly what has happened. If you believe you received an answer to your prayers and now the answer seems to be gone it can be for lots of different reasons.

God's Word doesn't say that when He grants our petitions we can stop trusting and stop believing now that we're out of our current situation.

Ask God to show you why your answer seems to be gone. Check His Word to see if the answer you received actually lines up with what the Word says. God doesn't do things that are outside His Word.

If the answer you received came from a source that wasn't God directed or God related, then God has no obligation for these circumstances.

Receiving a miracle is an amazing thing. But keeping it can be a completely different set of circumstances that requires continuing trust that God knows what's best no matter what happens.

The bottom line is that nobody knows why God does things the way He does. Your best response is to continue to pray God's Word over your situation, believing that He will do what's best in your life.

Blessings,

Karen

God loves you
by: Katherine Harms

Your confusion is understandable. We often interpret an answer to prayer as a permanent possession. Time marches inexorably forward in this world, and with time comes change. We don't enjoy all the changes. Some changes are very painful.
Imagine how Moses felt after all the miracles in Egypt when he discovered that the Israelites were worshipping a calf while he was talking with God! All their prayers were answered, God gave them everything they needed, and then suddenly it was all over. What could have happened?
Dealing with pain and change and confusion requires faith. I pray that God may increase your faith and comfort you. I pray that the Holy Spirit may give you wise guidance and insight as you work through your confusion. May you receive the peace that Jesus gives and the strength to face whatever is challenging you.
Blessings,
Katherine
