If ever there was an example of overcoming fear, it's in "Remember Me" by Maureen Lang. This is the second book of this series. What a great work of Christian fiction.
I like this author very much. Her way of weaving a solid Christian message throughout the story is outstanding. The characters are faced with the most horrible, unbearable life decisions, and yet the author shows how putting God first, EVEN in the midst of the worst imaginable nightmare, is the answer to living victoriously.
You will find it very helpful to read "Pieces of Silver" before you read "Remember Me", just to give you a more complete story. But it isn't absolutely necessary because there is enough of a separate story that you will enjoy it all on it's own.
One of the main characters in this story, Josef, shows how overcoming fear can happen if you keep 100% of your focus on God. Being a blessing in the midst of all that's wrong in your own life can be the very thing that turns it all around.
It's too easy to focus on everything that's wrong in your own life. In fact, it's so easy that if you're not careful you can become consumed by it to the exclusion of everything else. FEAR becomes your constant companion. And of course, that leads to a whole new set of problems.
