prayer for family and husband

by jlw
(alabama)

we have been married for 10 years. A few years back when things were at its worst i caught my husband emotionally cheating on me via live web cams. we tried working through it and at some point i fell out of love with him and told him. i asked to go home to visit my family for a weekend to which he would not allow me to and called me all sorts of names so i never went. one night i told him i wanted a seperation and he got really angry and tried to push me down the stairs and the next day was arrested (my family who was 1500 miles away called the cops on him). i packed thinking i would leave but ended up staying. about 6 months later i caught him again on the web cams this time talking with a young girl (under 17) he said he didn't believe her about the age so once again i believed and forgave. now we live in a different state (military) and things for me are bad. i dwell on all we have been through and can't get over it. he will not change and i have prayed for him to but nothing has worked. i need to go see my family my grandparents are sick but i am afraid he will react the same way again. please pray for me and my family. i need to visit them and maybe give him a prayer for closure on our marriage. I know that sounds bad i no longer love him and i truely can not go on like this anymore. god bless you all!

It's time to go

Hi jlw,

I don't like to see any marriage come apart, but in this case I must encourage you to leave this situation immediately. There should never be a time when you question whether you will be safe.

You can't work on your marriage as long as you're afraid to make a move in fear of the repercussions. Your husband has demonstrated a lack of respect and trust in your marriage time and time again.

jlw, God never said you are to be a doormat for your husband to walk on whenever he chooses. He never said you're supposed to stay in a marriage where you fear for your safety.

jlw, God has a better plan for your life. Please find a place where you can be safe. Talk to a Christian counselor who can help you sort out all your issues and options. Get some help so you can gain the perspective you need to make some positive changes.

Things can get better for you, jlw, but please don't wait. Get started right away.

Blessings,

Karen

Father, in the Name of Jesus we humbly, and boldly come before Your throne of grace. Father, right now we ask You to forgive every sin on this ladies behalf, and the sins of the ones who hurt, wronged, or offended her, in Jesus Name. We ask Father, for mercy and righteousness in this situation. All Wise and All Knowing God that You are, we seek Your wisdom and favor on how to handle this situation that will bring You all the glory and honor. Father, You have called Your children to peace; as well safety and well-being. Father, You alone are God of the impossible, we ask You in Jesus Name to intervene, that Your righteousness, deliverance, and salvation be manifested in each of these lives. I pray Father, that You circumcise this husbands heart unto true forgiveness, repentance and righteousness. That this man turns from his wrongful ways and has a deep hunger, thirst and desire for You. In Your eternal wisdom Father, if You see that this man will not come in line with Your Word, and Your way-open the doors necessary and remove Your precious daughter from this situation-into a greener pasture to grow and thrive in Your Word, Your Spirit, Your truth, and fulfill the great plan You have for her life. In the Name of Jesus, ministering and warrioring angels encamp about this loved one and bring her safely to the designated place designed for her by our Father, who art in heaven. As always Father, we trust in You and lean not on our own understanding, in all our ways we acknowledge You and You shall direct our (this ladys) path. We thank You Father for hearing, and honoring our prayer, and for making a way where there seems to be no way, all in the Name of Jesus.
