Reach Towards The Son

by Janice F Baca

Reach Towards The Son!

Reach Towards The Son!

This is the season of change - Spring is more than just flowers, warmer weather, and a new season. Spring is a specifically appointed time of change created by God for the purpose of growth and new birth.

Think about the idea of God's seasons.

All the earth, the animals, the plants, the planet, everything has seasons; seasons of winter, summer, spring, fall. Why would man be excluded from the Lord's seasons if the remaining of all creation is within that season? The answer is; he wouldn't.

Have you ever noticed that it's spring when people decide to clean house or move furniture around? We call it "Spring Cleaning". Why is that? It's innate. Deep within each of us is the desire to clean those things that are old and cluttered and open up for the newness of what's to come.

It's like when a new mother is about to give birth and begins "nesting", getting prepared for the birth of that new baby which is on the way. The only difference is that the "birth" may not necessarily be a baby, but the "birth" of a promise, a hope, a new beginning, or a special change or gift.

This is the time I usually tap into that wonderful move of God and make every attempt to step that much closer to what God called me to do. It's like we have the super-gasoline to our future machine to make it that much closer to our destiny.

Watch the flowers break forth and reach towards the sun to say hello.

Now, we need to reach from beneath the dirt and look towards the Son and say "hello". And, in the midst of our reaching towards Him, He was already reaching towards us; because it's the time of new birth; our new beginnings.

All you tulips stand up and stretch your leaves out far! It's time to receive the gift of the Son!

Beautiful article on the Son, spring, change and human beings!

I especially like your words, "It's like when a new mother is about to give birth and begins "nesting", getting prepared for the birth of that new baby which is on the way. The only difference is that the "birth" may not necessarily be a baby, but the "birth" of a promise, a hope, a new beginning, or a special change or gift."

The examples of birth such as a baby, promise, hope, new beginnings, change or gift offer great examples of how the Son gives to us, daily, the gift of life and newness of the day...

God Bless and keep writing!

Toni
