Seeking a mate

by Lena
(Maryland)

Is it appropriate for a baby christian or any christian women to ask God for a husband? I recently met a man that I had asked God to send even before I completely gave my life over to Him. This man is much more then I prayed for however, it's not love at first sight. I know that God may have only sent him so that I may know that He(Jesus) is listening and heard my cries. I just don't know how to deal with that revelation. should I continue to pray or just leave it alone? Thank you and have a joy-filled day!

Thank You
by: Lena

Hi Karen,
Thank you so very much for responding. You are correct, I have been looking for a message in everything that has been going on in my life lately. I just need to relax and let God be in control. I have been in control for so long that it's difficult to turn over the reins. I need to give God total control.

Thank you again,
Lena

Step in the water
by: Karen

Hi Lena,

There is nothing wrong with praying to God about anything and everything.

Sometimes as baby Christians, you might tend to over analyze situations or circumstances. While it's true that God uses our circumstances to get His message through, it's also true that not every single circumstance has to mean something overly spiritual.

Lena, the best thing I can tell you is to keep praying, but in the meantime, step out and see how you feel about the guy you met. If there is no chemistry, then remain friends and move on.

If this guy is the man you're supposed to marry, believe me, you'll know. You'll have a peace about it.

Best of luck in your search,

Karen
