Stop the Gossip

by Julie
(San Francisco)

I'm not sure what to do with gossiping at work. Something is said by the bosses, and it doesn't take long for everyone to be wondering what's going on and who said what.

It's like grade school some days. You never know what's true and what isn't. How am I supposed to work with all that nonsense?

Handling Gossip
by: thelma trunk

Julie, it is hard to work around gossip, indeed. But God gives us a way out of it.

I have found that even if someone tells me something negative about someone, I always stand up for the person, because there is a reason why people behave the way they do. I do not repeat what that person told me.

One time a co-worker said, "Thelma, you are the only one around here who does not gossip" I told them I do not believe in gossiping. When they know you will not take part in the gossip, they will not include you in the gossiping.

Prov 11:13, says that "a talebearer reveals secrets, but he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter."

God bless,

Thelma
