Most of the tips this book provides are really common sense things that any time management student would find have been there all the time. I think one of the best tips was to get a large, flat calendar, with the biggest blocks you can find, to serve as your central family scheduling system. Everything is in one place and it's available for everyone to use. What a simple, but completely foreign idea to me. I told you most of these were common sense, didn't I? And of course, the section on actual time management was almost like she was reading my mail. The tips she offers are great, IF you commit to using them. I can see where I can squeeze a lot more productive time out of my schedule just by arranging things differently to allow for multi-tasking. What a concept...preparing things in advance instead of rushing feverishly at the last minute. If you are like me, the continual time management student, and are always looking for some easy ways to simplify and help things run smoother and easier in your house, I would recommend "500 Time-Saving Hints".
