Response to "Trust"
by: Lee Baucom

Please don't take this as a flippant response. But here is my response:

You choose to trust.

Let me take that a bit further. Trust is always something we GIVE someone. They cannot earn it. Unfortunately, while they cannot earn trust, they can destroy it.

You don't say what the betrayal was about, but there are a couple of steps that need to happen.

First, your husband needs to address whatever led to the betrayal -- what was going on with him that let to the betrayal? What were the circumstances? What needs to be done to prevent this from happening again?

Second, you need to forgive him. Remember that forgiveness is primarily for you, secondarily for him. It allows you to move forward, and allows the two of you to reconnect.

Take a look at my ebook for more information on forgiveness and trust.

Blessings to the two of you.
