There is always a challenge trying to find a balance between your Christian priorities and all the "other" priorities in life. What can you do when what you're currently pursuing isn't a Christian priority? What if it can be considered "completely non-Christian"? Then what?
I went through that whole "trying to find a balance" experience. Ugh. It certainly wasn't easy. And it didn't happen overnight.
It's way too easy to get caught up in all the worldly stuff that lures you away from what's important. The competition to be the best, to own more nice things than everyone else, and mostly, to feel like you've accomplished some huge thing in your life and in your career.
I know how easy it is to get sucked up in all that stuff. And it certainly doesn't make it any easier when your family and friends all seem to be ignoring the Christian life and doing incredibly well in so many areas. It makes you start wondering why you're doing what you're doing?
You may even start to ask yourself why you're so worried about Christian priorities when it sure looks like the worldly ones are just fine, thank you. Believe me, I've been there.
It's not easy to hear from God on a regular basis so you know if you're on the right path. And it's not easy waiting for God to show you things.
BUT the good news is that it's WORTH it. God's plan and God's way to maintain balance is never wrong. You may not see results as quickly as you'd like, but just know that every day you spend trying to do things God's way is one more day He'll honor your efforts.
Keep your Christian priorities as your focus. As you're trying to find a balance, God genuinely is holding you up.
