Uncomfortable

Hi

I am really uncomfortable praying or singing around my husband. I used to not be able to tell him my feelings but that is a lot better now. I want to be able to pray with him. Any advice.

Everybody has a different setting of their comfort, just naturally. Some are more internal, others more external. This is especially true when we are talking about the most important areas of our lives: our feelings and our relationship to God.

However, you can become more comfortable by simply doing it, practicing. The more we do something, the more comfortable we become. It is just about starting.

So, if you want to find a good starting point, why not start by praying silently together? When that feels comfortable, add a simple sentence. Then build from there.

You may find this has little to do with your relationship with your husband and more to do with your own nature.

Blessings!
