How will a person ever know he/she is loved unconditionally if he/she has always been abandoned throughout his/her life?

Unconditional love is a concept that you simply don't see very often in this world. When you look at the turbulent state of things in this world, almost ALL of it can be attributed to selfishness. The focus on self is so over-the-top in your face that the idea of loving somebody unconditionally is foreign to most of us and at the very least, is very hard to comprehend.

Being abandoned in your life had to be very difficult for you to bear. The feeling of being alone and having to "take care of yourself because nobody else will" is a very tough way to live.

God's Word says He will never leave you nor forsake you. That means that no matter what you've done or ever will do, God loves you for who you are, not your actions, or lack thereof.

For example, there are people who commit horrible, violent crimes that make us shake our heads in bewilderment. Yet, a mother of that hardened criminal loves that child so much it hurts. How can that be? It is because despite the horribly wrong actions, Mom loves that person deep down inside where God exists. They can't help it. It's God's love coming through Mom.

Finding out who you are in Christ is a journey. Absorb God's Word like a sponge. Make it your mission to see what God thinks about you. Start by reading John's gospel. It is literally a love letter to you.

When you get the realization that God will love you no matter what deep down in your heart, your pain of abandonment will lessen. God will use those experiences to build you up if you let Him.

Blessings,

Karen

GOD LOVES YOU
by: Anonymous

You are loved unconditionally by God. No human can ever love to that extent dear one. The most that we can hope for is that others will accept us and not judge us in wrong ways. We will all be let down by humans some time or another, not always because they are evil or don't love us, but because of the human condition.
Strenghten your relatiionship with God and let Him lead you to those who will accept and love you as you are even though not in the perfect way that God does. Don't search for those that you think will provide that type of love. You will continue to find dissapointment if you do. Instead let God make you into the person that you want others to be to you. Love them, forgive them, and never blame yourself for any disloyalty.
If God has a person out there for you, it will happen. Just concentrate and focus on who you are, and work on your relationship with God.
God bless, you are loved with an everlasting love by God your Father.
