WAHM

by Jennifer McD
(Tuscaloosa, AL )

Karen,
I relate to so much of what you say in your bio. I am 31 with an 18 month old and a husband and I work in the corporate world and am on the fast track to VP. But, I am concerned that I don't have my priorities right and that I may be putting material things ahead of spiritual things and sacrificing my family. I have always wanted to own my own business and I have researched affiliate marketing and I even joined site build it for about 3 months, but I don't think I had the right niche. Do you have any advice for a young mother who is trying to find a way to replace her income and work from home?

Searching,
Jennifer McD.

A Good Match
by: Karen

Hi Jennifer,

It sounds like you and your husband have already come to agreement about you working from home. That's the absolute first step.

Second, working online is definitely filled with the most possibilities. If you had site build it for 3 months you saw people who are successful.

However, it takes a whole lot longer than 3 months to build a successful online business. Yes, choosing the right niche is very important. I suggest really taking your time to do the research. The tools have been updated and are pretty awesome these days.

I also suggest you and your husband decide how much time you are able to put into an online business while you're still working fulltime. If you're not able to give it much time, then you won't get much out of it.

It can be done but the process will definitely take longer. Only you can decide how much of your spare time to devote to it.

Jennifer, the online opportunities are definitely there, but you and your husband will have to decide when and how to pursue them. Site Build is awesome, and I think it's your absolute best way to move ahead.

Best of luck,

Karen
