Waiting for God

It isn't easy when you're waiting for God. How do get God's best anyway? How do you know if you're on the right path? Do you have any input into what God has for you?

There are some strings attached when you're waiting for God to move in your life. It will only happen if:

You're willing to make God the center of your life. You can't focus on God on Sunday just to put the focus back on you on Monday. God isn't interested in "convenience" Christians.

You're willing to do what God tells you to do, even if it's hard. Sometimes God will ask you to do something that just makes you want to scream....like forgive someone who hurt you very badly. You were the one who got hurt and yet God wants you to reach out to that person? Yup. You have to decide which one you want more.....being right or having God's best.

You're willing to wait for God's timing. If you plan to do things your own way in your own timing, you may as well slam the door right in God's face. As harsh as it sounds, that's exactly what you're doing if you don't wait for God.

It doesn't sound easy, does it? Well.......the good news is that as you develop spiritual maturity and as you learn about God's character, it gets easier to wait because once you've experienced God's best, nothing else compares. It's more than worth the wait.

And, you don't have to wait alone. Find a great Christian church that will support and stand behind you as you're waiting for God's best.
