Website Building Tools ... Where Do You Start?

You know, all the things that Christians are supposed to be about?

I was both happy and relieved when I found Site-Build-It (SBI). They wrote their directional action guide as if I knew absolutely nothing. Good call. :)

And, of course, there are some people who already have knowledge and experience in this area, and for those people, WOW! Many of those SBI sites are flying extraordinarily high.

I was also very glad to find one of SBI's best website building tools...a forum of people who already had done what I was trying to do and just jumped right in to help me. Yes, there were days when I was lost, but somebody from the forums was always willing to grab my hand and show me how. Their motto is "help and be helped". Now, is that a Christian concept or what?

But I didn't just choose Christian books for women out of the air. I used another one of the website building tools that helped me narrow down topics that I was both interested in and passionate about.

The tool then helped me evaluate those topics to see which ones had the most potential, both to reach my visitors AND to make money. Christian Books for Women was the one that came out on top and wallah......there you have my choice.

Choosing the right site topic is probably the most important part of this process. You'll definitely want to build a site around something you are absolutely passionate about. You're going to be spending A LOT of time on the topic so it has to be something you really love.

There are lots of get-rich quick schemes on the internet. You can go almost anywhere and hear companies tell you they can "have your site up in 15 minutes and make you rich beyond your wildest dreams."

But you and I both know it's just NOT going to happen that way. I chose SBI because they actually told me to go at my own pace and learn the material inside and out so I could build not only my site, but an actual web business.

And oh yeah, SBI will let you scope out their action guide for free. Here it is.

Google ads are one of my best moneymakers. They are the ads you see on many of the site's pages. When people click on the ads, I receive a small percentage. You also see lots of books, ebooks, and other products on the site. When my visitors buy one of these products, I receive commissions. I also plan to release an ebook yet this year, hopefully increasing my income.

Some people sell hard goods, e-goods, or you can sell your services like writing or consulting. You can have an e-store, or you can do as I do and become an affiliate, which means you're promoting other people's products that you think are great. In exchange you receive a commission.

I'm ready to start my second site early next year, using all of SBI's website building tools. Once you have your first site up and running, you can duplicate all that you've learned and start receiving income from more than one site.
