The First Step
by: Karen

When you make the decision to give your life to Christ, it is only the first step in the journey. Some people say they feel different immediately, and others say they don't feel any different at all.

But your feelings aren't the measure of your journey. Feelings can change constantly and you can't rely on them.

Start immersing yourself in God's Word. Start reading what He says about how to live your life. Ask Him to start showing you what you need to know to be a good Christian.

Also, start reading great Christian books. There are a ton of them on this site and your local library has many great ones as well. Start filling up your head with Christian concepts.

Surround yourself with other Christians. Find a church that is a good example of right, Christian living. Get involved. See what it's supposed to look like to live and act like a Christian.

Lastly, pray. Ask God to keep guiding you. Tell Him you will be a sponge if He will send the water.

Being a Christian is a lifelong journey. The more you dig into it, the closer you'll feel to God. The more you learn about Him and His character, the more you'll recognize His voice in your life.

Blessings,

Karen

Test Yourselves
by: Anonymous

If you are truly saved Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, Son of God dwells within you. He washes your sins away. 2nd Corinthians 13:5 says Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?-unless indeed you are disqualified.NKJV I watch Paul Washer sermons on youtube. You should check them out. It's amazing how God is working through him. He says, the question is not "do you know you are a sinner?" but "has God changed your heart so that you hate sin?" Evidence of your salvation is your continual repenting of sins from the time you gave your life to Christ until today. Your not gonna want to talk to Him sometimes it's every day. Denying self every day. Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples,"If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." NKJV Also please read 1 John chapters 1 and 2. I pray that this will help you. God bless.
