Why does God mostly give me a negative answer?

I have been praying to God to give me a good job,i always apply for jobs but do not get one.It has been for about four years but still no better job for me.I believed, trusted and hoped God is preparing a prefect job for me but i have waited too long i think. Moreover, i am suffering in my current job. What could be the problem? When i think of this and other things i have prayed for,i find it so hard to pray.

dont worry
by: joseph

Dont you worry thats why He is God. You are lucky to have that one job, myself im approaching 30 never had a chance at a job despite very good grades n finishing college 4years ago. I know it has taken 2 long, at times i give up but all i can say is that God is faithful. Im not a religious fanatic or psycho yet i get strength in knowing that He knows my name, He holds my future n He fends 4 me. So keep praying n applying n honing all skills related to your dream job and someday very soon ur opportunity will arise.

God Doesn't Say No
by: Anonymous

I think your focus is so completely set on finding a new job that you have lost focus with what is right there in front of you. Perhaps God has answered your prayer. You asked for a better job. Perhaps if you take a moment and truly assess the job that you have you will find that you have the ability to make your current job better. Leaving one job for another is not always the answer. God knows better than us all. Perhaps this isn't the right time to move to a new job. In this volatile job market that could be a dangerous move. The new hires are generally the first to go when the lay offs begin. Also, be specific with God. "God give me a new job," can lead you to another place that you don't want to be. Perhaps you should pray for a job that allows you the freedom to express yourself. A job that demands my attention and does not allow me to be bored. A job that will provide a pay increase, but also increase my professional competence, and experience. A job that will lead to both professional and personal gains. One thing I've learned is that God doesn't say no. He's simply waiting for the opportunity to truly give you what you deserve.

All Prayers Are Answered
by: Jenn

I truley believe that God answers ALL prayers. He is never late and is always right on time. Even though you may not be feeling this way now it is true and in the end when your prayer is answered you will see this. I also agree with everything that Karen said. Make sure that your mind and heart are in the right place before you ask God for favor in a certain situation in your life. Be patient and keep praying. God never gives up on us and the very least we can do in return in to no give up on HIM. I too was in a job that I did not like for around four years and prayed and prayed for another job. I fealt the same way that you do now but eventually God did place me in another job where I am now happy and content. Now that I look back on the whole experience I realize that I did play a major role spiritually in several of my co-workers lives. Hang in there. He is listening and I know He has something better waiting for you just around the corner.

always pray
by: Karen

It isn't easy to understand why sometimes it seems God isn't listening or maybe that His answer is "no". Everybody has experienced this at one time or another.

Prayer isn't something you do only when you need or want something. That would be like considering God as a great big Santa Claus, just waiting for us to submit our wish lists. It doesn't work that way.

Many times our prayers aren't answered because we pray with the wrong motive. If there is any hint of selfishness in our prayers, God knows. He can tell in an instant if our motives are pure.

Sometimes prayers aren't answered if we have unforgiveness somewhere in our lives. If there is a problem between you and anybody else, then you need to make it right so it pulls down the wall between you and God.

And sometimes God really would like to use us right where we're at if we'd let Him. Maybe you're the only Bible the people around you will ever see or maybe there is somebody there that really needs to see Christ through you. Once you open yourself up in that way and let God use you, maybe He'll be ready to move you into a different place.

There are a number of reasons for unanswered prayer. It all starts with your motive and ends with how you treat other people. If you say a prayer and then go out and treat everyone around you badly, you shouldn't be surprised if that prayer isn't answered.

Check your heart and see what is really going on. Maybe you'll find some answers.

Blessings,

Karen
