Will I get married again?

by Kathalene
(Canada)

I'm 50, I'm adopting my little grandson. I have a good paying job and a good retirement to look forward to at 60. I have a house, grown kids, loving parents, loving brothers, an old dog, a stupid cat :), and lots of friends. I'm thin and pretty and talented and I love my church... I'm just having so much trouble finding the right man to come into my life.

What should I do?

The Right Relationship
by: Karen

Hi Kathalene,

Waiting on God is ALWAYS a struggle for us, isn't it? It just seems to take forever when you know what you want and God seems to have a different timetable.

I know how you feel. I think every Christian knows how you feel because we've all had to wait on God at one point or another.

There are lots of reasons why God isn't answering your prayer right this second. It could be that the person He wants for you isn't in the right place yet.

Or it could be that God needs you for something that requires just you.

But it is more likely that God is trying to do a work in you in some area of your life and He won't let you move forward until that work is finished.

The very best thing you can do is to seek God with all your heart. I'm talking about earnest prayer, asking God to show you the areas of your life that He wants to change. Ask Him to help you in those areas.

And lastly, go out and be a blessing everywhere you go. Look for ways to help. Look for people who need a blessing.

Kathalene, God can work through somebody that not only says they have an open heart, but shows it through their actions. God can use those seeds you're planting to bring a harvest into your life.

Keep your focus on God and His ideas and try not to worry about meeting the right person. God will send that person to you when the time is right.

Blessings,

Karen
