work at home

I am intriqued. I have been a working /homeschooling /single mom for 15 years now it has always been my hearts desire to be at home .... now my family is quickly growing 19 and 17 I still yearn to be home to have a peaceful/comforting environment ... there lives are taking off with work and responsibilities .I would like to work at home have dinner on the table... there is still so much left to tell them tesch them if they... the church is somewhat helpful to the single parent ,but I would like to see especially for the born again christian mom struggling to do the right thing help her to stay at home a be the mother she is called to be.. that said can you tell me how you are making a living I too like to write ...I would like the Lord to give me creative ideas.Maureen

Hi Maureen!

Please forgive my delay in responding to your question. Somehow I missed it.

Working at home has been wonderful for me. I used to work in the corporate world and then in the private business world, both of which have good and bad attributes.

Working at home is tremendously flexible but it does require discipline and commitment.

Building a web business requires the same commitment as in building any other kind of business, except you skip the bricks and mortar.

This is my first website. I didn't have a clue about the process but I found a system that literally taught me everything step by step.

Maureen, you can turn any passion into a web business. The web has opened doors to earn an income from almost anything.

Deciding your site topic is probably one of the most important parts of the process. The system I use lets you evaluate all your interests and passions, shows you the actual number of people who are interested in and searching for your topic so you know if you have enough interest to have a viable business.

From there you learn how to build pages that get found by the search engines, how to write to interest your visitors and once that is all going well, you learn how to "monetize" your site so you can earn an income.

There are lots of different ways to do that. You can sell hard goods, sell information, write and sell ebooks, videos, ecourses, or you can sell professional services. You can set up referrals from other companies, etc. The actual list of things you can do is endless.

As you can see from this site, it is mostly informational with a few related products and books. As you continue to build, you find more and more creative ways to monetize your site.
